Why have a survey? The boat looks good and its a bargain!

A Survey will include a thorough inspection of the boat and all of its equipment. The boat will be examined to assure it meets the
minimum safety standards of the American Boat and Yacht Council, requirements of the National Fire Protection Association, and the
Code of Federal Regulations.

The survey, depending on which you chose to fit your needs, may include results from:

  • Examining the hull and internal structural members including stringers, decks, bulkheads, scantlings, ribs, bilges, core material
    (s), backing plates, hull to deck joint, port lights, hatches, deck drains, through hull fittings, exhaust ports, scuppers, bottom
    paint, and more

  • Deck hardware, including stanchions, safety lines, hand holds, cleats, winches, windlass, boarding ladders, standing rigging,
    running rigging, travelers, chocks, hawsers, deck pipes, fuel fills, water fills, sanitation fittings, bimini tops, dodgers, canvass
    enclosures and covers, dock lines, horns, ventilation equipment, spotlights, davits, pulpits, bow rollers, masts, booms, steps,
    spreaders, sails, mast head fittings, rod holders, flopper stoppers, down riggers, live wells, bait wells, fighting chairs (don't see
    many on the Ohio River), and other equipment

  • Ground tackle, including anchor(s), line(s), rode, and shackles

This is just a short compilation of items that may be involved. There are more, but all in all you will receive a comprehensive evaluation
of the vessel you own or are thinking of owning along with the components aboard needed to assure a safe and worry free boating
